I was born in Mexico City and was raised in South Central Los Angeles. At the very young age of 10 I was attracted to the gangs and street life, and started gang banging. After a while, I found that gangs were just a waste of time, so I started running by myself. The street life and gangster rap destroyed and consumed my heart and gave me the mentality of not caring or loving anything or anyone including myself. I also didn’t care for human life and was in and out of jail all throughout my young life

I grew up in a small town called North Smithfield RI; I attended one room school house for my first year of school that is now an historical building and museum. A Second school grades 1-3 now a police station and a 3rd school grades 4th through 6th and finally Jr. Sr High grades 8th through 12th.
The nice thing about growing up in a small town was going through 12 years of school with the same classmates.
Through the 12 years of school I never heard the words born again Christian as I grew up Roman Catholic and attended St John’s Catholic Church where I made my first communion and confirmation.

Born in L.A.. and raised in a Christian home, I gave my life to the Lord when I was around 14. After graduating from high school, I joined the Army at 17. There. I fell away from the faith. Began drinking. partying, and living like a loose cannon. Looking back, the Lord's hand has always been at work in my life. After 8 years of serving, (active, inactive and reserve), deployments, different duty stations and seeing the world, I came back home.

From early in life, “how come” and “why” have always been the questions I would want answered. These questions were never satisfactorily answered until I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The scripture of the Bible started to clearly make sense. I've known about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit since I was a young kid, attendance being required on a regular basis mainly because I was instructed to do so.

I've always had a passion and desire for the Lord. My mom has often shared that even when I was very young, I would get sad if we didn't go to church. Looking back, I can see that God was already placing a hunger for Him in my heart from an early age.
